cAROL,

Your thread got me to thinking how many people had made contact through Rootschat.

Because the site is not primarily for bringing relatives together like some other well known sites (GR LC etc) it's hard to judge.

So to keep your hope alive I started a poll...

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,73722.0.html

Looks good so far  ;D

Hi Pam
Great idea to do a poll ! I'm sure many of us are delighted if our research leads us to find an unknown rellie... no matter how distantly related.
Keep up the good work. What would we do without Rootschat and it's fantastic moderators??

Carol,

I was so taken by the Sourbutts name I didn't read further.

Where are your BELLs from in DFS?

I have a Bell that went to Liverpool and you have Liverpool folks...

Could there be hope?

Hello there

I have Mockridge,Rapkin and Heapy that no one else is researching.

A friend of mine has Urling and Barleycorn ancestors.

Carol
I was just thinking how lovely some of these unusual names are, and was reminded that John Barleycorn is one of nicknames given to whiskey by the Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book - not that I`ve ever read it you understand - or needed to! (hic).
