Marriage Lookup Morse/Reeves 1919

I am looking for any further information on the marriage of
Samuel Morse and Lily Eliza Reeves
Forest of Dean District
Westbury on Severn
1919

Entry 159

Incidentally, the marriage took place in the Westbury-on-Severn Registration District, and NOT the Forest of Dean district, which came into existence in 1937!

Hi Colin

This couple are in my tree (I was born a Morse).

Samuel was the son of Samuel bc1856-1911 and Mary Anne Green bc1856.

Sam jnr baptised 12/07/1885 at Viney Hill

Lily was the daughter of James & Emma Reeves of Viney Hill. She was baptised 07/08/1887.

They had one child - Mary born 1921. Sadly her mother died in childbirth. Mary was then adopted by Samuel's sister Bessie and her husband William Jones. She went on to marry Reginald Turley in 1942 and died in 1961. (With acknowledgement to Jim Slade who gave me the original information).

Unfortunately, I have followed the wrong Lily Eliza Reeves (b1887)

Gloucs BMD shows 2 births in 1887, my Lily is Reeves/Smith Cirencester.

REEVES   Lily Eliza   REEVES   REEVES   SMITH   1887   Cirencester   Cirencester, Cotswold   12   397

I will now back track as see if I can find what happened to my Lily Eliza.

I have the 1901 and 1911 census details for her, in 1911 she was still unmarried and living at home with her parents.
