Harnepher Watson
« on: Saturday 18 April 15 19:43 BST (UK) »
I have a conundrum, Harnepher Watson born Embsay 1836, father Christopher Watson b. 1818 Cononley, mother Elizabeth Mason. I have a marriage for Harnepher in Adlington Lancashire 24 May 1858, father Christopher Watson game keeper. 1861 census gives him living with Elizabeth in Adlington, 2 children, John and Irving. Harnepher had a sibling named Irving. The census gives his place of birth as Embsay, year of birth is correct too. The thing I can't find is any more censuses after 1861, there was a marriage for a Harnepher Watson in Skipton in 1863 so I assume that Elizabeth died, I can't find a death for her, I can't trace Harnepher either, there is a death for a Harnepher in Pontefract in 1889 but despite searching on Ancestry there doesn't appear to be any further records. Could anyone help to identify whether Elizabeth died and Harnepher remarried in Skipton? I have the Craven Indexes, the church records for Embsay St Marys but there is nothing relating to a marriage, baptisms or death for him or a spouse after 1861. Thankyou.

Also I forgot to add that his father Christophers occupation wasn't a game keeper according to the 1841 and 51 census he worked in the mills and he died in 1851.
