Bit late, but one of my ancestors looked after pit ponies in Southh Shields and Sunderland having previously grown up on farms in Northumberland.  He was a Rolly Man.

I may possibly, and hopefully, have a connection into this family. I too have been looking for a Mathews-Maxwell Marriage in Ireland.

 As bevmatth hasn't been online for good while, I'm hoping she may still be around, so have sent her a PM.  I'm crossing fingers that she has her email notifications turned on!
