I note that the item in the link referred to above says he was from Gorton, Strathspey; the transcription says he was from Gordon; and that he was from Strathspey.
There is a farm called Gortons in the parish of Knockando in Moray, right beside the River Spey. See
http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=16&lat=57.4326&lon=-3.3600&layers=5This is just a few miles downriver from Grantown-on-Spey. I wonder if Patrick's "brother-in-law in Grantner" was actually in Grant
own?
Delvey, referred to as part of his estates, could be Dalvey? See
http://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ1132 - this is between Grantown and Gortons.
Ringo [?] College has to be a mistranscription of Kings College, and in the same paragraph 'criter' is a mistranscription of 'writer', that is, a lawyer or solicitor.
Of course you may have all this already.
Unfortunately the Knockando parish registers were lost in a fire in the late 18th century, so if Patrick and his brothers were from Knockando, there will lmost certainly be no surviving record of their baptisms. There were lots of Crui(c)kshanks in Knockando.
