1891 Census - Bertie Parish
« on: Friday 17 April 15 17:37 BST (UK) »
I am having trouble finding Bertie Parish born 1886 Warlies Park Farm near Epping.  His father died a month after Berties birth, mother Emma Parish (born 1849 Copped Hall Green) had 15 other children. Maybe transcription error, either way, help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Regards

1891 census
Emma Parish with children, Charles, Walter, George, Flosie, Alfred, Percy, Ernest, William, and Rose, and brother John Clements (idiot) are living at Warlies Road, Waltham Abbey. The birth places you mentioned (which are about 300 metres apart) are in the Waltham Abbey district.
Was Emma's maiden name Clements?
But no mention of Bertie!

Do you have his birth certificate for his real birth names? There is a birth entry for Epping in June quarter 1886 of an Alfred Phillip Parish. That might be him, and Bertie be the name he was known by? Is that a possibility?
Added - probably not as Alfred Phillip parish dies in July 1886.

His full name is Bertie Parish. He was baptised and married with this name, his children were baptised with Bertie as father and his death and Probate had him as Bertie. He was my husbands great grandfather - but where is he? Thanks for looking.

Hi Mark he was baptised on the 18th April 1886 at Waltham Holy Cross (page 77 entry no 613) son of Anthony Adam and Emma Parish and in answer to your earlier question Emma was a Clements.

Guess he must have been with a relative.
There are trees on other sites an none have Bertie in 1891
