George Alexander Truss
« on: Tuesday 14 April 15 16:35 BST (UK) »
Trying to find the birth (or any info) on George Alexander Truss who I believe came from Great Marlow.  He was born approximately 1768. He went on to live in Chester, he was a coach maker, married Catherine and went on to have a large family. I have all the Chester info but need to find where and when he was born.
Any help please.
Les

What's the source for the belief that he came from Great Marlow - and have you seen this 1767 baptism for an Alexander Truss, in case he took on the "George" later?

I have been given some old family papers and there is a note "originally came from Great Marlow".  I have seen the info you sent, I have no idea where or when he married Catherine. I have done a lot of research in the Chester record office which holds a lot of info on George and his family but nothing at all on his birth or marriage. He was a made a freeman of the city and he owned a coach making business. His sons also did well for themselves.
