Fry family from the Isle Of Wight

Edwin Fry was born about 1816-18 on the IOW and dies there in 1878. He was a Tailor. He married Mary Ann Morris .She was born about 1819 and dies 1885 on the IOW.
I am able to trace the family forward through their son Edwin Morris Fry and all the information I have is on a tree on a major family history site . Would like however to trace both their lines back before 1816/19 .No trees on the site have done this. Appreciate one option is to order a marriage cert but wonder if there are any other records that might tell me what I want to know. However I  have a feeling the Fry family were a long established IOW Family. Appreciate any thoughts.

Looks like there isn't a marriage certificate.
I suspect they wed before 1837.

Hello hope you don't mind, been looking at your posting and think this may help,
 firstly your Edwin Fry's death/ burial in 1878 points to a birth abt 1815, in 1814 there is a baptism for an Edwin Fry at Newchurch, parents Isaac Fry and Anne, from past experience families at Ryde often had children baptised at Newchurch, your Edwin Fry gives his birthplace as Ryde in one of the census.
 secondly your Edwin Fry had the following children (IOWFH)

Edwin Morris   (MORRIS)   Newport      
1844   FRY
Frank Frederick   (MORRIS)   Newport      
1847   FRY

note the last name included the name Tucker  Isaac Fry married Ann Tucker 1795 at Newchurch.

hello . By way of update I now have Edwin and Mary Ann's Marriage cert and it looks like you are spot on . His father is Isaac --a Tailor and her father is William a leather cutter.
