strong/green marriage
« on: Tuesday 07 April 15 01:27 BST (UK) »
Is there any member in the Battleford/North Battleford Saskatchewan area who could help with a possible marriage (I say possible because it may have taken place in Ontario) between Fergus STRONGb 1888 +- 1 Wigan Lancashire England and Mary GREEN b 1888 +- 1 Wigan Lancashire England. The marriage took place around the late half of 1912 or first half of 1913. I have seen a record of the marriage in the family bible but it doesn't tell me where or exactly when

There is a Fergus Strong in the Battleford area on census but it shows he was born in Ontario.  A birth for Fergus Strong was registered for 17 Oct 1888 in Sarnia Township, Lambton County, Ontario with parents Thomas Strong and Frances Graham.
In 1911 Fergus is in Battleford area as a boarder and in 1921 he is with his parents ( aged 32) in Turtle River area North Battleford.  Saskatchewan Residents index shows he married in 1921 but no bride given in index.  He remains in the area as he is shown on Voters lists.
Doesn't sound like your Fergus.
