Massingham, Langham, Norfolk
« on: Monday 06 April 15 21:24 BST (UK) »
Hi
I seem to have hit a brick wall in relation to search on the 1901 census, i cannot seem to find a family anywhere here in Langham Norfolk, i have found them on the 1891 census for Langham as follows
Piece RG12/1560 Place, Wells-Norfolk, Enur District 4, Civil parish, Langham, Folio 36 page 4 schedule 16,  Address 5 School Yard.

Massingham  William     Head M   age 31  Ag Lab  born Langham
Massingham  Eva S        Wife  M   age  26       born Blakeney Norfolk

followed by 4 children  Rosie,Florence, Richard W, Earnest

We have also found William as a very young child on the 1861 census RG9/1247 Wells-Norfolk, Langham, Folio 51,page 10, schedule 55 father given as George J age 28 born Field Dalling, Norfolk......  Mother Elizabeth age 23, Born Langham, Norfolk plus 3children John, George J, William (William is the Father on the 1891 census) but we cannot find any census for 1871 and 1881...a complete blank......
       Any help gratefully relieved
          Gordon
Thanks in adavnce ???

Her name was actually Evaline or Evalina, similar to Salina so maybe spelling issue . Thanks for your quick reply😀

Could this be him in the 1881 census in the civil parish of Warham All Saints, Wells, Norfolk? (reg district of Walsingham, he marries in 1885 in this reg distrct, Marriage in Blakeney)

Just in case you don't have the marriage cert:

1881 census

(Piece 1987 Folio 79, page 7)

recorded on Anc... as follows:

Willm. Massingham born c1857 Langham Norfolk occ: Ag Lab (Lodger with the Lane family, Head John Lane c1853 Dersingham Norfolk)
