Charles Leonard Fright 1876 -1941
« on: Sunday 05 April 15 19:28 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have any reference to charles leonard fright  1876-1941.
He was my grandad and I remember him in a wheelchair because he had no legs from the knees down.
I've seen a reference to a portrait photo of him but can't find who has it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

How did you get on, very easy to trace if you are still looking. 2nd marriage 1886 Camberwell to Martha Clara Ratcliff.

That can't be right. He would only have been 10 in 1886. He was a bachelor when he married Amy Giles on August 26th 1896 and was still with her in 1901.

hi
Thanks for the interest everyone.
Yes he was only ten in 1886, it was his father Charles who got married the second time having been widowed the year before. Charles L was married to Amy Giles for life he - died in 1944 and she three years later.
I have lots of information about Charles Leonard - even a photograph - but am stuck on where his legs went !
Things get complicated when the same given name runs through the family and Charles Leonard Fright was the third attempt at getting one to stay alive for more than a year or so.
