Thanks everyone for all the looks so far.

I can confirm that he is dead, but unsure of the date as it was whilst i was young and my father/mother are both dead so can't confirm details.

I can also confirm his birth details as found by one of the look ups, his father was James and mother annie.

Also regarding his army records i was the one who requested them, that is how i found out about the details of his discharge.

The bits i don't know are the details of his marriage, childrens birth or his death. I think he may have died at the hands of his wife, so i thought there might of beens some new paper reports on that but i have not found any as yet.

thanks

Edwin Muir son of Anne Johnston Clark and James William Muir was my mother's brother, he stayed a short time with my parents in Newcastle upon Tyne, he was 1 of 10 children, who lived, I never met him but remember once he wrote to my mother asking for money to get back from Australia.
I understand that he lived with someone but don't think he married them, it is rumoured that he was murdered by his partner but not sure how true it is.  I was also told that he tried several times to stowaway on a ship to get back

well jennifer Elle

Edwin was my fathers brother, so that would make you my cousin.

So you mother would be either aunt agnes, aunt olive, aunt violet, aunt edna or aunt sue (but i know bruce)

He did marry the lady (Elizabeth i think) in Australia after he was dishonorably discharged from the Australian army and had at least 1 child if not 2.

He was a bit of black sheep, and got into a few scrapes, rumor has it that he was told be a magistrate to either face jail or immigrate the Australia, he got assisted passage through his time doing national service.

I believe he was skilled by his wife, his daughter supposedly visited aunt Edna in England after his death with a husband(iranian or something) and their child but was asked to leave after a bit of trouble.

I do not know the exact date of uncle edwins death as the australian records are a bit piece meal and i was too young remember the details

you can private message to swap more information if the like
