Where is Abroath (where first photo was copied)?  Does that location tally with any of the census information for the family i.e. is it in the neighbourhood of people possibly already identified?

I think the woman on the right is younger, and Jim correct me if I'm wrong (which I probably am) but doesn't she date in the late 1870s early 1880s?

Undated MIP + square corners = early - mid 1870's.

I didn't even look at the corners  …but that to me indicates that she is the younger of the two..

Hi All

I would just like to thank you all for the hard work you're putting in with The Freeman/Nicol tree. I would also like to thank Carol for getting in contact with me. Ann Freeman is my 3rd great Aunt. Joseph Freeman her brother is my 3rd great grandfather. So the line is down my paternal grandfathers side Leslie Padgett. His mother was Elizabeth Ann Waddington. Her mother was Alice Freeman and her father was Joseph Freeman the sister of Ann Freeman.

I can honestly say this is the first time Ive really had a look on this site. HHMMM interesting stuff. My aunt who passed away at Christmas gave me a box full of photographs. My problem is I have no idea who the people in photos are. I have tried getting information by starting with army uniforms. I did well I got 2 named that way. But I am totally lost how to get the others named.

I believe I have a solution for my big box of photos. Just for the fact I have a clue of how to find out who the people are is amazing.

Hello Lisa...Thanks for showing up...there is so much info and photos on here and I'm delighted that you have joined us.
Caz and I have really enjoyed the challenge of putting names to faces. I hope you will post some of yours here as we may find a family likeness between us....you can have them dated and see how they fit.
I will raise some of the other posts so that you can take a look at how this family has unfolded
