Thomas family

Would anyone have information about Fochrew in the 1870s? My grandfather Arthur Ernest Thomas was born at Cae Glas Fochrew in 1874.I  visited  the other year and found a close of houses called Cae Glas Newydd. This was too modern for grandfather but perhaps is on the same site?
