I have a Joseph Corbishley born in Leek in c 1754 in my Tree.He married one of my Lovatt relatives,a Mary Lovatt born in Leek in c 1760.I am in the process of adding his descendants to my Tree,so my Webpage is currently being updated,as it is very much a work in progress.

That is one of the corbishleys on my tree. He may be a direct ancestor as earliest parts of my tree are a bit confused and not definitely proved. Used to be a near neighbour of yours as lived in Chirk until 3 years agto and think i have probably met you as i used to work in Cefn library, then wrexham and finally museum. Worshipper

Yes you probably may have met me,and you are perhaps not wrong in saying that indeed the History of this Family is quite confusing.Whenever i am given info off someone else concerning a Family,I always am keen to perhaps check for details of the Family in lets say Census Entries and BMD etc.i can say that I have been having quite a bit of trouble in adding the descendants of Joseph Corbishley to my Tree.In fact some details are lets say so dodgy, that I am minded to leave certain branches well alone.

Just browsing and came across your 2005 reference to Corbishleys. Are you still searching. My grandmother was a Corbishley from Macclesfield. Ken Follows
I am sorry but my emails are no longer working.

Hi Alf,
I have took advantage of all your MI's in Staffordshire and Cheshire.
Your information is a gold mine and saves me having to buy my wife too many Sunday lunches 'on a drive to the country' that happens to include a churchyard
