Is this an impossible task ? Mrs Eliza Jelley on her 101st Birthday

I came across this pic and would love to send it to my cousin for his 102nd birthday - as it is his Gran.
So have attempted to contact the Newspaper Archive to see if I can get a better copy - not sure that - it will be better or that it will arrive in time.

So hoping....... you clever people can enhance it a little for him. (and me )

 What a fantastic idea! And a super article as well! I'm sure he will be thrilled to get it!  Only sorry I don't have the skills in this department!  I could make a mean birthday cake, but don't have the skills in that Department either!

But Happy Birthday to your cousin!  Looks as if longevity is in your genes!

and thanks for the offer of a lovely cake, Jaybenz - cant cook either so he will have to have a bought one.. he loves the pink and yellow squared ones... oh fish... cant remember the name... but it will be on order in time..

Yes theres a lot of longevity bless them all... lets hope it continues... but these days each day is one more to add   18 months till the big 70 and so we shall see. 
Both Eliza and Wilf NEVER MARRIED so that may be the answer

his brother (also a bachelor) tho sadly died at the very young age of 86 his parents 70 and 62 yrs... so its a variable thing.

He is a lovely old chap.

Hi xin, I do hope you can get a better copy from the newspaper archives. This copy is obviously not great to work with, this is as good as I  can get I'm afraid.
I think Battenburg is the name of the cake, I've not had any of that for ages.
