St Johns Church, Pendlebury/Irlam o`th Height/Pendleton/Salford
« on: Sunday 08 March 15 00:00 GMT (UK) »
Not sure where to put this but hope someone can help.Sometime last year I found a posting concerning Headstones from St Johns Church, Pendlebury which were uncovered during work on the diversion of the River Irwell in the Saint Simon St, Sussex St, Springfield Lane, area of Salford,(Which is a fair way from St Johns, Pendlebury} The work took place in the late 60s early 70s, I cannot remember the forum it was that I found the post, but searches on the 3 forums I use came up blank, and no luck with general searches for "River Irwell diversion" or "St Johns Church, Pendlebury missing Headstones" If anyone can help with either these events I would be very grateful.

Regards

Geoff

I remember it.  Try:

I think I searched for Headstones found and Barton and then looked for images.
