We watched Poldark and recorded Mr Selfridge. What with Call the Midwife earlier, Sunday evenings are getting rather busy!

Sadly that was the last Midwife of the current series,I cried at the end when Dr Turner said he'd given the pregnant mum this fantastic new drug...........thalidomide.

I screamed at the TV........Noooooo !!!

Watched call the midwife and i also yelled no at the thalidomide but it is used as treatment with one of the haematology disorders.  As for poldark apparently mom found him moody so did i. Not sure which i prefer, he's a bit of rough!

A new anti sickness drug was hailed as a wonder drug back in the 60's.
If only we'd known then what we know now.

Interesting to spot Trevose lighthouse clearly in shot during one scene, it wasn't built till about 60 years later.

A very enjoyable first episode. I think Eleanor Tomlinson is really good as Demelza and Aidan Turner...well what can I say he really is a hunk ;D
