My nan's mum's dad : John (Jack) Joseph Quinn b 1839 in Liverpool England's parents came from County Cork...any Quinn family know of Jack ?

Is 1839 the correct year of birth? If so, it's well before the start of registration in Ireland and few families will know of a connection between a Quinn born 1839 in England and their own family.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for
some time

As far as I know this is the right year of birth. His father: a James Quinn b1808; mother: Mary b1811; wife; Catherine (Nugent) Quinn b1849 in Galway Ireland ( a brother called John)

Hi, John QUINN b 1839 Liverpool England has daughter Mary Bridget QUINN in Sydney in 1875 with Catherine NUGENT b 1849 Galway Ireland. Mary Bridget QUINN was my husband great grandmother.

Hi Maisie, will give it a try.. Mary Bridget Quinn married Sydney (Sid) William Finnie their daughter Veronica (Vera) married Harold Angus, they are my hubbies grandparents. More than happy to share the info and photos we have.
