Date & restore of mystery soldier if possible.
« on: Saturday 28 February 15 20:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi
Please can someone help me identify and restore this soldier it was among some old ones given to me to-day and I would like to fit him into my family tree so if someone can give me a clue to when this photo was taken and his approx age and what the uniform is I would be very grateful. It is on a card 2 and a 1/2 " wide and 4"long but there is nothing on the back.
Thanks
Kathy

The man is a Royal Marine, looking at his hat, it appears to be early 1900's.

Hi, no idea on the date I'm afraid, but agree with genechaser, definitely a Royal Marine.

Hi

That is not a wedding ring on his finger, it is blue ink, if you look at the original picture you will see it in several places on the picture.
