As you can see we are not getting very far.
Is this correct?
Your information says that 'Bill' changed his name by deed poll. He may have changed his first name also as you have no birth record for him.
You have some reference for him up to 1970s because of his occupation.
You know his father's name.
I can only think that you try to find out about the name change through records.
You try to find his father's death and perhaps a will.
You are already aware of the information found on here which could be quite sensitive as people could still be living.
It seems to be too difficult a task. Sorry.

I meant that the subsequent finds re William G's marriage could be sensitive, which you have said you are not interested in but we have discussed.

Your first post did say you wanted to find out if he changed his first name also and you said in a later post that he could have changed his whole name.
However, if his name is William Jones then that would help you re the deed poll information.

Who is Salina Jones? Is that the same person as Salian Kurban you mention in your first post? Is one a typo - Salian or Salina?  When and where was she in the institution?
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

I think you are talking about Bill Kurban who was a sound recordist for the BBC he worked on Blue Peter and was one of the sound guys on the Everest ascent in 1971 which failed just below the summit.

He was my uncle on my dads (Edward (Ted) Jones B.1928 London- D.1993 Wrington Near Bristol) side and he died in 1977 in Spain, he had a son Kieran.
My name is Graham Jones and I have a brother Colin we think he changed his name in the 60's as he was credited on Blue Peter as Bill Jones, I can remember he got us Blue Peter badges and autographs from the presenters.

Bills mother was Selina Kurban 1896-1988 she died in Brentwood Essex, father was Thomas Ernest Jones of Oswestry Wales 1900-1949 they married in 1924.

There are still relatives in Lebanon, Selim Kurban who I think is Selina brother so my great uncle he was writing our mother maybe 10 years ago, I have tried to make contact as there are connections with the American University of Beruit (AUB) I think Selims son was an electrical engineer (as I am)  it seems to run in the family, unfortunately he died young, I believe there is a scholarship at the AUB in his name, but I have hit a dead end as I think they spell it differently there.
Any way hope this helps, feel free to get in touch
