Aaron Ribbans, Charles Goodsman, John Bradbrook
« on: Tuesday 24 February 15 13:51 GMT (UK) »
All in my tree and related. Mostly from Suffolk. I have a fair bit of information, but many gaps. Wondered if anyone might want to share information to help move my 9and their) research on.

Hi

If you want people to help, you need to give a bit more information about the people.

Do you have any births, marriage or death details?

Have you found them in any census?

Heather :)

Presumably Aaron Ribbans/Ribbons is the one born 1830 in Great Blakenham?
Married first to Mary Ann, and then to Emma Mothersole?

Charles Henry Goodsman born 1848, Ipswich?
Married to Maria Louisa Bradbrook?

Too many John Bradbrooks!

I had a PM from the OP confirming my suspicions.

Have asked her to post the details here?

Thank you for your help K.
Yes indeed you do have the correct people. Aaron was the father of my gt grandmother Harriet. She was the last child born to Emma Southgate in 1872.
Emma died in 1873. Harriet was brought up by Aaron's sister Matilda bc1825 in Blakenham.
Matilda was married to John Bradbrook  bc1831 in Hadleigh.
Their daughter was Maria Bradbrook bc1849 in Claydon who married Charles Goodsman bc 1848 Ipswich.
Their son, Walter bc1872 in Colchester married Harriet. Harriet died in 1914 whilst living in London.

That means that James Ribbans and Mary Grant are my 4xgt grandparents and my 3xgt grandparents.

Charles Goodsman was my g. Grandfather, Maria Louisa Bradbrook my g. Grandmother, also connected to Ribbans. All Ipswich/Suffolk. I have traced Charles Goodsman back to the name change in the family and further.
I have reason to believe that there maybe Jewish blood in the family but have never been able to confirm this absolutely.
Any help/contact would be appreciated.

Welcome to Rootschat, Lovisa5

What are the names of Charles' parents?

What name change?

Where and to what year have you traced them too?
