When I saw that bridge I had a feeling I'd seen it before but couldn't place it - I now realise why. I did a teaching practice in Melton Mowbray many years ago and must have gone over that bridge everyday as that is the road I would have used. What a coincidence.  :o

I'm astounded given the number of potential locations in the UK!
I have sent scans of three four photos to the museum in Melton to see if they can identify the other locations. The man in the picture is exceptionally well dressed for a boat trip, I wonder if he is from Egerton lodge as this was obviously a grand affair.

I really can't take a lot of credit, I only posted the link. The real credit must go to Trish who found the correct photo.  I do sometimes think our ancestors give us a nudge in the right direction as I wonder what the chances were of finding it so quickly out of hundreds of photos on that site.
