It looks like the house in the background may be Egerton Lodge (now a residential home).

By the way, only stumbled on the photo of the bridge due to groom's link!

Excellent,  thank you. You can see that money has been spent on the construction, there is also an Egerton park, so quite grand people by the sound of it.  Unfortunately my pictures didn't upload very well, one shows a man in a straw boater in a rowing boat, the other shows him and his children on the bank, I think they must have all been taken on this part of the River.
