Which District for a death in Mexborough?
« on: Sunday 22 February 15 11:32 GMT (UK) »
Hello,  Could you please help

I am looking for a death for Emma Dixon, born in abt 1844 Monks Bretton, lived around there husband died in registration district of barnsley in 1905 i think,  Would she have died also under Barnsley?  The only one i can find is in 1914, but i cannot find her anywhere in the 1911 census ???.

I am going round in circles, looking for a death before 1911 or looking for her on 1911
, any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Charz

Registration District for Mexborough is Doncaster.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Is Emma's husband William Thomas Dixon bn Shafton. 1901 has Emmas place of birth as Dodworth.

If so the couple are both still alive in 1911 Mexborough

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Probably because Ancestry have the surname as Disson  ::)  Try William Thomas Disson
