WW2 civilian ration book details?

please advise anyone: I have exhausted avenues to confirm my grandmother's birthplace & date in Yorkshire. she was born Mary Jane Horner c 1880 married my grandfather Edward Gorham Sth Africa 1909 lived in London Southend and Rochford Essex. d 1944 Rochford, I have no other details as to above, what other official records would have the above information, have tried BMD, Parish records, all census,nil in any family records including birthday date- no will left, no drivers license.
Hoping that her wartime ration books might have the info I seek, during the war years & up to her death in 1944 she was living at Brays Lane Canewdon near Rochford Essex.
Ancestry does disclose 5 other Mary Jane Horners in the Yorkshire area around that time period but I would like to confirm?.

Ration books had name address and some had date of birth
They also had national registration number
Identity cards were issued which gave the registration number -age name
I have my parents identity cards somewhere in the attic -and I remember playing "shop" with the left over ration books when I was small

Do you have details from the marriage cert ? Father's name?

Don't know if this is her or if it's any hep but Miss M. J. Horner travelled on the Tintagel Castle to Cape Town SA from Southampton she travelled alone age 24 born 1882 her occupation said to be a domestic, it says at the top steerage 3. Departure date 26/10/1906

I have my grandmothers WW2 identity card to hand and it does not have any reference to her age or DoB, the only sections are for Registration Number, Class Code, Address (plus space for changes), Signature & official stamps.   I also have her clothing ration book for 1947-48 and again that just has name, address & number.

I'm a bit puzzled regarding your post as it sounds as though you don't actually have the ration books?

Have you tried school registers? not sure about Yorkshire but in Northern Ireland many are in PRONI archives, Belfast- they list date of enrollment and either age (in month & years) or exact date of birth.

Thank you all for your posts re WW2 ration books. No I don't have, I have the passenger lists both ways to Sth Africa and return she is my g'mother-she worked for an Ostrich feather farmer, no fathers name on Sth African wedding papers in 1909 which I have plus her husbands full Army records-no joy either, have not tried Yorkshire school registers as cannot confirm which one would be my MJH.
I have tried sourcing her passenger ticket to S/A and return as there may have been a record of next of kin & DOB in case of a shipping disaster of someone to notify?.
Can anyone suggest where I can search on line for ration book/Identity card records?. Apart from getting into a time machine any help would be appreciated and explored.

If you, or a relative, don't have the ration book then that's likely a dead end. I don't believe there are records available to search but the 1939 register is mentioned here-
