Hello With regard to the initial message regarding John Symonds, i've tried putting a message on here for the originator as I believe we must be related.

Hi Ken, my mum's 2 x Great Grandmother was Elizabeth Symonds, who we have a lovely photo of so sister of Ann. She married Henry John Jones a barge man and had originally lived in Newent but then they moved to Gloucester. They had my mums great grandmother Henrietta jones who married a Samuel Jones and my mums Gran, Annie Elizabeth Jones. They were publicans. Have taken the Amblers back and had DNA matches to them. John Symonds on the other hand, there are so many false trails. Will try and find the info on them. Laura

Hi Laura,

Many thanks for your swift response, my great great great grandparents were John and Hannah Symonds and my great great grandmother was Ann (Symonds) Loveridge. i have had my DNA done and it is shown on Ancestry and My Heritage sites so i am assuming that we are both connected by DNA and obviously related. I have recently received Ann's marriage cert which shows a marriage to Henry Loveridge and am more than willing to forward a copy for your files. Pderhaps we could exchange emails.
Anne's children were Rosetta Loveridge, William Loveridge my great grandfather and Mary Ann Loveridge. We can not find a death for Henry Loveridge but Ann is on the 1851 census and indexed as a Widow. For a number of years  we have been trying to find out who Henry's father was but to no avail. The 1851 census shows Henry's mother Elizabeth to be living with nher daughter in Law and she is also indexed as being a widow.. On the marriage cert it shows that Frederick Symonds and also Caroline Symonds were witness to the marriage but i have not been able to ascertain how they were related to Ann.
Would love a photo of Elizabeth as that would give me some idea of what my great great great grandmother would have looked like.
I live in Bristol but was born in South Wales. thank you once again for contacting me, we have very little on Anne and her husband Henry.
Very best

Ken

Re: Witnesses at the marriage of Ann Symonds to Henry Loveridge

Frederick could be Ann's older brother (1817) and his wife he married Caroline Pembers 5 December 1842 at Newent.
