The Burton Family - Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Hello, I was wondering whether anyone might have any information pertaining to Mr. Frederick George Burton (1876-1935) and his wife Alice (1874-1950)(nee Coulter then Fowkes).

 Alice was my great grand aunt who emigrated from East London, England to Brisbane, Australia in 1908 after the tragic death of her first husband Edward Fowkes and child Grace.

 She married Frederick George Burton in 1909, and they went on to have three children; Frederick Stanley Burton (1911), Eric George Burton (1915), and Evelyn Myrtle Alice Burton (1918).

 Alice died in 1950 and is buried in Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane. At the time her son Frederick Stanley was living in Radcliffe Road, Scarborough.

 Many thanks for looking at my post, any help with tracking down the Burtons would be most graciously received. - John

In 1913 they lived at 212 Constance St Fortitude Valley. Her occupation 'home duties', his 'labourer'.

By 1919 they had moved to Shamrock Road Darra. Same occupations. They are still there in 1925.
