Yeah, I saw the spats. I had heard that spats went out of fashion
very suddenly, within a few minutes of the King showing up at some horse race without spats...the bushes were strewn with everyone else's discarded ones

But in formal morning attire they persisted for a while and I have seen a few photos on the net of men wearing them at weddings in the 30s. Douglas Fairbanks Jr was one of them.
The lady's trousers, yes, very daring and I haven't been able to find anything. But ladies' pants were much more common in the 30s, not much at all in the 20s.
Here's my scenario...it's Maman and Grandmaman in the photo...Maman knows she's torquing the old bat off with her
scandalous transparent skirt revealing outrageous trousers underneath and is relishing every delicious moment of it. Grandmaman, on the other hand, has evidently been sucking green persimmons and if it weren't for Granddaughter's fortuitous catch of a
very rich and childless widower she'd write the
entire branch of the family out of her will the
instant she got home...

That wedding dress is still 1930s by me
