Caz! Where are you getting all these fabulous old pics? I'm so jealous

My first thought was 1920s but my second was later. There's a cloche hat in the background but the bride isn't wearing any of the trendy 1920s stuff like mobcap, dropped waist or knee-length hemline.
So I went through my bunch of known wedding photos and the closest I could find was 1936. Hemlines were back to full length and satin seems to have been the fabric of choice with minimal lace. Waistlines were back to the waist and although a crown attachment to the headdress was fashionable there were a lot of "classic" veils as well.
The gent cuts quite a figure, doesn't he? I'm thinking this is a society wedding. And I'm also thinking it's the bride's (or groom's) mother and grandmother as there seems to be a bit of an age difference. On the other hand the older lady in the pic doesn't look all that thrilled to be standing next to the younger one

They do have very similar faces, though

No clue as to where it was taken, I suppose...?
