Hi Deryn,
Do you mean the Alfred Lloyd and Susannah Clark who married 1929
Toxteth Park, St. Cleopas Liverpool?
If so there are a couple of baptism records on Lanscopc web site.
I'm not going to print them because they may still be living and it's Rootschat policy not to print the names of living people.
Not William unfortunately but take a look at the other two.

Yes thanks, they are my grandparents.

It is William I am interested in. I was aware he was dead and I'm trying to find out where he went after leaving Liverpool. As far as I'm aware he went farming to Wales.

There were at least another 5 children. If their baptisms are not listed on the  Lancashire site does that mean William was born elsewhere?

Have you tried Free BMD?

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

Using Lloyd and mother's surname Clark a number of names come up by searching in the districts of Liverpool, Liverpool S and Liverpool N. These are common surnames so some will likely be unconnected. If you can identify the birth index of the person you are looking for you could purchase the birth certificate from the GRO to get the date of birth:-

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

Using the date of birth you may then be able to identify the right death index for them as the date of birth was included in death indexes from 1969 onwards.

Thanks, tried the free site and it appears William was baptised Sept 1933. His mum and dad were married 1929 so that ties in nicely. That gives me something to go on.

When did he die? In the 1980s? Around 2000?

Hi Blue, that's all I know! He left L'pool at an early age, to Wales, got a job on a farm ?, and married in Wales. I'm guessing he must have moved to North Wales.

I wish I knew more. His time and place in Wales is what I'm interested in.

many thanks.
