Joseph Parker Allinson
« on: Sunday 08 February 15 22:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I am the club historian at Whitby Town FC and am researching former players for articles for the programme.

Joseph Parker Allinson was a player in the 1920s. He was born March Quarter of 1908 in the Guisborough area. Later married Emily Wood C. 1933. I cannot find any info on his death.

According to the web site www.deceasedonline.com Joseph Parker Allinson died on 1st February 1984 and was cremated on 7th February 1984 at Lincoln Crematorium (info from Kathy on another site).

Is anyone researching the Allinsons?

Thanks in advance.

Neil

Thanks Carole :)

I was hoping someone may be researching him, descended from him or knew him personally as I'd like to be able to 'put some flesh on the bones' so to speak.

Joe was rather a good player and like all the players that made over 100 appearances, I'd like to do them justice on the achievements.

Thanks again for the DOB :)

They don't appear to have had any children looking at births 1933-1953 so no descendants

Thanks a shame :(

Sometime when researching players one or two stand out for their commitment to the club or performances or their loyalty to the club. Joe was one such player.

Thanks for your help, it's given me food for thought.

What would you like to know?
I'm a bit chary about putting a full bio online since family members are still around and may not want their privacy invaded. I notice you're based in Croydon, are on Ancestry Sweden and are a historian for Whitby Town - an odd combination?
