ours came pretty quickly.

2 out of the 3 people's records were great, the other 1 has raised more questions than we had imagined possible...

The information does vary from person to person. I have said in a previous post that quite a few years of my late husbands service were omitted from his records, several postings and medal details were missing.  It was surprising as only left the Army in the 1980's, but I was assured they had nothing else on him.

Fortunately, having accompanied him on the missing postings,  I was able to fill in the missing information myself, so my son now  has the complete information.

It is a shame when it means we can't piece together the jigsaws though.  I am pleased your son has all the information about his father.
