So he missed out on some road tenders - then had to sell all his horses & drays in 1864. 1868 his voting rights were objected to [think he'd lost his farm], in 1871 working at E J Comer's office, turned down for clerk of the Roads Board in 1872, bankrupt in 1876. I wonder what he did for the remaining 30 years of his life?
