Mather in Kirkintilloch?

Can anybody point me in the right direction, please? I'm trying to establish links between the Mather family and the Thomson family in and around Kirkintilloch & Condorrat. The Thomsons were Grain Merchants and Millers (Wood Mill, Dalshannon, Hill Head). I have no Mather names but have vague recollections of visiting in early 1950s to what may have been a Mather Farm: there were goats to milk!

I have been researching the Mathers from Provanhall in Easterhouse and they had cousins who owned Balloch farm in the Smithyston area of Cumbernauld.

Have not found any links to a Thomson and the ones that I have found died before the 1950's.

    On Scotlands People, there is a marriage in 1935 of a Robert Mather to a Margaret Waddel Thomson at Cumbernauld.        It's a long shot though, because you don't have their first names.

The following Mather's are buried in Cadder Cemetery...

Annie (68) died 1997

James (73) who died in 2000

Scott Infant died in 1968

Robert Mather/Margaret Thomson are buried at Eastfield Cemetery in Cumbernuald.  A lot of the other Mather's are buried at Cumbernauld village.

Margaret Waddell Thomson was my 5th cousin once removed, through her great-great-grandmother Mary Waddell. I'd love to have any information on her descendants.
