Hi there lookin for information higginbothams  .
William higginbotham married sarah dempsey .
They were married june 7th 1862, in the church of immacalate conception john street.
they had 7 children william anne elizabeth-sarah william james john bridget
they lived in trimmers lane john street selskar st. William died
8th march 1904 his wife sarah died in workhouse 14th may 1886.
Elizabeth-sarah there daughter was my great grand Mother.
She moved from wexford too dublin and married my great grand father.
in 1896.

Yes there my great great grandparents and some spelling
of the name higginbotham varies 'it has been spelt
Many ways and miss spelt depending if some people had much education in the 1800s.

I have been researching my fenlon family and found one of my fenlons married a higginbottom her name was alice fenlon she had a daughter also called alice higginbottom they lived in abbey street around 1901 if you find any connection to her please let me now many thanks

yes i have came across alice she married a william higginbotham
they lived in abbey street in 1904. Been a higginbotham i did search
and i have william death cert ;

Hi there
right your william died on the 8th march 1904 present at death alice.
age 55yrs cause? Occupation labourer. Alice  made her x.
william address was down for trimmers lane while alice is down for abbey street.
now this is were the story get interesting my great great grand william also died on the same day
his address was trimmers lane he lived there with his sons james & john.
you can view on the 1901census. Now a a guess i say there related.
now my william is buried in crosstown cemetery saint ibars.
grave num249 sec Q close to the gate i marked the grave with a new headstone last year.
i am not from wexford i am from dublin. You may view the grave if you wish.
your william death cert you can get at grogans road . Page num 54, 1904.

hi thanks for reply I don't live in wexford so I will contact a cousin there to get certificate for me
im no going over until april but I think your right about them being related
there is also a storie behind alice family her father was Michael fenlon who is said to have married three times and fathered over 60 children its been in news papers in Dublin usa and wexford
