Army Unit 2nd world War

Hi , could any body help me trying to find out what regiment my dad was in in the 2nd world war, we have no documents and are having problems finding info from the usual search sites, all we have is a few pictures.

You say you have several photo's, do any others show any badges. The one shown is an 8 pointed star but is too fuzzy to ID. Could be one of several regt's.

Statistically its most likely to be the RASC as they were a huge Corps.
