You don't need Latin for 19th century abridgments of sasines. Though I do admit to being very glad that I did study Latin at school. It has come in very handy in all sorts of ways.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
