Elizabeth GOODWIN born c1834/5 Sutton Valence
« on: Friday 09 January 15 18:38 GMT (UK) »
I am drawing blanks on finding info on Elizabeth GOODWIN born c1834/5 probably Sutton Valence d/o William & Jane GOODWIN. I cannot find Elizabeth on the 1851 census before the family emigrated to the USA.
In 1851 the family were in Marden but not Elizabeth .....
Can anyone throw any light on this please?

1851 has an Elizabeth Goodwin b Eastchurch working as a servant - have you already discounted that entry?  As you don't know her exact birthplace it's difficult to establish the correct entry.

1841 shows the family were living in Sutton Valence but that doesn't necessarily mean she was born there

I have Elizabeth Mary GOODWIN bap 13 Sep 1835 Eastchurch. Married William Yates 14 Dec 1856 Sheerness.
There is a baptism at Sutton Valence but I have not confirmed that as yet.
Thanks for taking the time to look, appreciated.

William & Jane had another 9 children baptised in Sutton Valence: Susanna (first 1832) Mary Jane, Jane, William, Ann, Emma, George Baker, Augustus Frederick, Edwin (last 1844)
Do those children fit with what you already know?
