Richard Torney turns up in Ros Davies great website on Co Down
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rosdavies/SURNAMES/T/TooToy.htm#tor He came from Inch civil parish Co Down. There are 3 entries for the ID name combination, in one his daughter marries a  John Turner, but the surname Sedgwick –Turner  is used thereafter. Is this from her side of the family? or his.. here is an extract from one
..... was a Private in 41st Regt. & served in India for 23rd years; he joined the Enrolled Pensioner Force and arrived in Western Australia ... with his daughter Mary Ann Torney/Sedgwick-Turner & granddaughter Esther Alice Sedgwick Turner & son-in-law John Turner; his Pension was paid by 2nd Belfast District .... the sources include a  Kerry Lawless.  Looks like Kerry Lawless might help. Contact Ros

from Genes Reunited there are two trees RT 1800, one Downpatrick, one Co Down, both trees belong to a 'Diane', you would have to join GR to contact her for permission to see her tree  GR can also supply his army record for about #10 his discharge number was 760, he is in the Chelsea pensioners and was in Welsh Regiment 41st and 69th Foot. He married in India in 1827
Finally  from the way you ask for help, the British India office might prove the only other source
for searching for Judith Woods  I didn't check for her in Ros Davies website.
good luck JimG
