Conscientious Objectors
« on: Monday 05 January 15 11:20 GMT (UK) »
Given the fuss and formality of being registered as a conscientious objector in both WWs, where are the records?  I have Quakers on one side of both my family and my wife's, and only know by word of mouth that my grandfather joined the Friends Ambulance.  But what about the rest?

Thanks for the reference, which I will follow up.  It seems extraordinary that formal legal records were destroyed when the practice of time-barring far more sensitive material was well established.
