look up request..please.

 ???would someone look up..John Burstow,b1811..Horsham/Sussex & wife Mary b1812..Lingfield/Surrey....on 1851 census they should be around 40 & 1861 50...I have found them at 1871...but there seems to be no trace earlier..perhaps the spelling has changed again,,, as it did for the 1871..too...Burston...Ive tried everything...Please helpppppp....thank You

and this looks to be your John in 1841, still living with his parents! There are a lot of Burstow's in Horsham, but this is the only John I found. I did make notes of all the Burstow families I came across if you would like them?

Tricia, following up your suggestion of a possible second marriage for Mary...  a search in the IGI shows Mary Lemon Mc Murtrie, baptised in Horsham 13 March 1841, daughter of John and Mary Mc Murtrie.

I checked the SMI and found this -

John MCMURTRIE, bach tea dlr. E.Grinstead
Mary GROVES, sp LingfieldSRY.

A search of the Horsham records here -

shows four children of this marrige, including Mary Lemon who was the last child of the four.

I also tried a search for Burstow baptisms in Horsham... wow, quite a list so worth checking them out fluffy!
