If you haven't already done so, a good way to make surname connections with other members is to enter your surname interests in the Surname Interests Table (SIT), and to check there whether others are researching these names.

This can be found at http://surname.rootschat.com/ , there is a link to it under "Your Tools" at the bottom of each Rootschat page.

The more people who enter their surnames, the more chance there will be of making a connection!

You should also go to the Fife board, as those names pop up again and again there. I have some Ireland from Scoonie ancestors. You should type Fairfoul/Fairfull in the search bar here and you will find lots of information, welcome to Roots chat :)

The best idea is to open seperate threads relating to names which are coupled together.

Thousands of people will have an interest in the names you have but they need to be defined into categories if you like.

A quick scroll through some of the threads may give you an idea of what you are actually searching for e.g. names of a couple, dates of birth, where born/married/died etc.

Once you have 2 common links (a couple) with marriage date & area you could put that as the subject & then add any questions you have as the content as people relate to names easily.

Hi Sheena
I stumbled across your entry re. Hutchisons in Markinch, Coaltown and Glenrothes. I am George (your son in law's father) Hutchison's sister. There were five brothers and four sisters. No triplets.

I'm more than happy to supply any information you might want but I'm not sure if this post will reach you.

Perhaps a friend might draw your attention to it.

With Kindest Regards
Margaret

Hi Rosie
It was this one. This is my family tree. I just wondered if I could help her with any information. I am Margaret Hutchison (now Haselwood) and was the second youngest in the current generation.

We are not allowed to post the names of any possible living people on rootschat, if you have you should be able to go back into your posts and modify them
