Old Photos of Eccles, Barton, Patricroft and Salford Wanted

Hi There!

Does anyone know of any websites where I can find Photos of the above towns or does anyone have any?  I am building a website on my ancestors and would like to include the history of the places they came from. Send me a personal message if you have any and we'll exchange e-mails.

Try Manchester Central Library's website - I haven't checked it out, but they have lots of old photos and must have some of Eccles, Salford, etc ...!!!

Hi,

Local libraries sometimes have small paperback hand books for sale at a reasonable price (around £2.00/£4.00 GBP each ............but may vary) describing people, the history of the area and showing photo's and/or engravings of the past.  So, if your websearch doesn't produce the results you are looking for then it may be worthwhile contacting the local library to see if any of these small handbooks have been published for the areas you are researching.

Please not e that the title of HIGH STREET is incorrect.


It Is CHURCH STREET Eccles that picture is taken off.


ALso do a google search for ECCLES in LANcashire and you will get good website of all ECCLES.


Me being expatriot was born and bred there.
