Dating and cleaning up please of Chap from Middlesex Regiment?

The crease across the mouth is preventing positive identification, so it would be great if someone was able to de-crease the photo and date it for us.

If anyone know what colours should be used m that would be a fantastic added bonuses, but we are really after a clear image.

Certainly WW1 era uniform but could be just before or after.
These type of cards were popular during this time.
