Hi there, the cap badge could be the Gloucestershire regiment,as you say the picture blurs on enlargement. it does look a bit like the sphinx on this badge. good luck with your search. regards phil.

I agree that the cap badges appear to be Lincolnshire Regiment - this may be a lead as my family were next door in Notts. The elevated design of the Parish Hall suggests it may be in a flood risk area - as much of south Lincolnshire is. On the full photo '1913' date is above the door.
The 'hospital' does appear to be a commandeered country house.
Though both photos are in the family album I do not recognise any of the soldiers. My grandfather was injured in Galipoli but I do not see him.
