Sandringham Castle August 1943
« on: Sunday 28 December 14 23:26 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I am looking for someone who may have access to old British newspapers from 1943.
I am looking for any articles regarding the Irish Regiment of Canada that guarded
the Royal Family at Sandringham. This took place approx. August 4, 1943.

Thank you in advance

Nancy

Sandringham  is a royal residence but is not a castle. During WWII newspapers and the radio in Britain were subject to strict censorship and it is extremely unlikely that any British newspaper would carry any sensitive information regarding the security of the royal family.

Thank you for the correction about Sandringham. I just quoted what was
written in the war diaries. Appreciate your response.
