Thanks for the info. I always wondered if James came from Rochdale as I couldn't find anything on the Isle of Man, Emily Ridings his wife was my great aunt and I know they had two children William and Doreen, Doreen was married 1953 but I cannot find anything about William, they were my mother's cousins and I know as children they were quite close.

I know the areas of Rochdale you speak about as I live here.
