Burial Register Entries

[HOWMUCH]

Hello
Would there be a simple explanation for the following two entries found on Lancs OPC.
burial of a Joseph WILKINSON on 25 February 1838 at st Peters, Bolton . Age 35 yrs.
Abode:Halliwell.

and burial of a Joseph WILKINSON at Holy Trinity,Bolton on same date,same age and same abode.
Two separate burial register entries.
Is this likely to be coincidence?

Stan, I have just looked at the link you give, and the burial is definitely there, St Peter's Bolton, on the 25th February 1838, Joseph Wilkinson, abode Halliwell

I notice that on the Holy Trinity records on LancashireOPC before 1844 it does not show 'buried by'
Maybe they only had the service at Holy Trinity then buried them at St Peters.  Holy Trinity was apparently built 1826

I think we have the answer there. 

I have looked at quite a few other burials for HT and found them duplicated in St Peters with buried by A Hadfield, Trinity
