Previously-
(should be on Londonderry board)
I have Thomas Smallwoods, born 1815 married ? Had son Joseph married 1. Margaret Bovaird and 2. Eliza Simpson.  Joseph and Eliza had 6 children, one of whom married Thomas Norris.  I have information on the descendants of Thomas Norris and Margaret Smallwoods.  What I want to do is connect this Smallwoods family to Samuel Smallwoods married Margaret Ann Deans,  Samuel Smallwoods married Anna Clements Tosh,   I also want to connect Joseph Smallwoods who is on the 1911 census at Killenan, Londonderry as a grandson of Joseph Smallwoods and Eliza Smallwoods.  He was born in Partick, Scotland 1901.  His parents are Joseph Smallwoods and Eliza Smallwoods nee Goligher.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

The Samuel who married Elizabeth was the son of a Samuel. Joseph was the son of a Thomas. It is quite possible that Samuel and Joseph were cousins.

At least one certain link between their respective lines did occur in a later generation when Samuel and Elizabeth's son, Samuel, married Margaret Deans and later Margaret Dean's younger sister, Eliza Jane Deans, married Joseph's son, Thomas.

I know about the Smallwoods/Deans connection and also the other connection is that James 1861, son of Samuel 1830, married Eliza,1874. daughter of Joseph, 1837.  What I really want is to have the Samuel and Joseph link confirmed, are they cousins, are they uncle and nephew. We know that they are not brothers.
